
Document #546, Installing GoldMine 4.x, 5.x over a GoldMine Demo
1. Make a complete backup of your system. If you do not know how to make a backup of your system, please see the information at the bottom of this page regarding backing up.
2. Click Start|Run.
3. Type COMMAND and press ENTER.
4. Type C: (or substitute C: with the drive letter where the GoldMine demo is located) then press ENTER.
5. Type CD\PROGRA~1\GOLDMINE (or substitute PROGRA~1\GOLDMINE with the directory in which the GoldMine demo is located) then press ENTER.
6. Type DEL *.EXE then press ENTER.
7. Type DEL *.DLL then press ENTER.
8. Type DEL LICENSE.DBF then press ENTER.
9. Type DEL FLAGS.DBF then press ENTER.
10. Type EXIT then press ENTER.
11. Install the new GoldMine 4.x or 5.x into the same directory that the demo was installed.
