Document #333, HTML code with GoldMine E-mail Templates
Build the page to be sent in an HTML editor with all of the code to be included within the body tag. This can also include web technologies such as JavaScript, VBScript, etc. Images must be available on a website.
Separate the HTML in to parts to fit around the GoldMine fields inserted into the E-mail template and save the files.
Create a new e-mail template and select the Rich Text (HTML) check box.
Insert the first part by typing in the file name in this format:
<<file:[path\filename]>
Example
<<file:c:\folder\filename.html>>
Then insert the GoldMine fields to be merged in the template with the Insert Field icon on the Toolbar adding the remaining parts of the HTML file in the same manner as the first part.
Save the template and then Mail Merge sending it to your e-mail address to test it.
